Northeastern’s Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology is designed for those passionate about science and innovation. This Boston-based, STEM-designated program provides a strong foundation in biology and chemistry, along with advanced courses in genomics, bioinformatics, pharmaceutical processing, and quality control. As biotechnology rapidly evolves, students gain practical skills for careers in research, biopharma, and life sciences. With real-world projects embedded throughout the curriculum, graduates are well prepared for impactful careers in life sciences.
Students can take advantage of the A2M Scholars Program, which offers financial support and guidance, or the PlusOne accelerated master’s programs, which provide an accelerated path to a master’s in bioinformatics, biotechnology, or regulatory affairs.

Explore our Associate to Master’s Biotechnology Program, a seamless transfer route that leverages credits from partner institutions, allowing students to save time and tuition while working toward both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in biotechnology. Eligible students can receive scholarships of up to $10,000 per student per year as well as a dedicated A2M support team, assistance with transportation and textbook costs, and more.
Additionally, the Associate to Master’s Program at Roxbury Community College is designed to provide Roxbury students with a dedicated transfer path to Northeastern, where they can continue their education in biotechnology with support, scholarships, and career guidance.

Your path to a master’s
PlusOne accelerated master’s programs provide motivated students with the opportunity to start earning their master’s degree while pursuing their undergraduate education.
By completing the BS in Biotechnology, you can advance your learning by applying up to 16 earned semester hours (or up to 22.5 quarter hours) toward both your bachelor’s and master’s degrees. This allows you to receive your graduate degree one year sooner than you would with a traditional master’s program in the following fields:
- Master of Science in Bioinformatics
- Master of Science in Biotechnology
- Master of Science in Regulatory Affairs
